Like so many companies, here at PDS we had to change the way we worked from the first lockdown in March 2020. Fortunately for us, this has had a positive impact on our team; as a result we are more aware of things that are important to us and of each other’s needs and wants.
The change to working remotely has been very productive for so there is no longer a need for us to have a permanent office space. So we have decided to continue with our new working efficiencies and move our Head Office to BioCity in Nottingham.
Please note that as from the 1st of July 2021, our Head Office address will be:
PDS has moved to BioCity
We are very excited about this Head Office move. As we no longer have to commute to a physical office we are seeing positive benefits for us and the environment. We are saving significant working time and we will no longer be using our cars or public transport to travel to work and from a physical place of work on a daily basis. Plus BioCity offers us hot desk facilities and a wonderful meeting place (and a fabulous coffee shop!) for when we do want to have face-to-face catch ups. We look forward to welcoming you to BioCity in the near future.
Additionally, some of the changes we are making include state of the art telephony systems with voiceover data through our laptops, so team members will be able to take calls through their laptops. This will also mean that if one of our team is on holiday, they will be able to redirect all of their calls to another team member so there will always be somebody to answer your call.
We have also invested in new laptops, software and printers, again making things more cost effective for our clients.
The last 12 months has made us reflect upon the fact that if it hadn’t been for COVID-19 and the restrictions brought in by the Government regarding working from home, would we have noticed how we could have made all these changes for the better? Would we have looked as closely at flexible working and work home life balance? No, probably not! However, luckily we have had this opportunity and we have made changes that both our team and clients will be able to benefit from.
How has the pandemic affected you? What positives have you taken from it? We’d love to hear your experiences too.
